Oaxacan Tree Ornament

Hand-carved in Oaxaca these one-of-a-kind tree ornaments are full of sweet details.  

Originating from Oaxaca, these ornaments start as the Jicara fruit -a hard shell gourd - of a calabash tree. One-by-one, they are hand-carved with tools by a local artisan. Reminiscent of well-loved Otomi patterns, the art featured on each Jicara ornament is one-of-a-kind inspired by the flora and fauna of Mexico.
