Eastern European, elaborately vineger painted folk art Renaissance Revival-style three-drawer commode or chest of drawers with onion feet. A tour-de-force of decorative painting technique combining many Victorian influences and styles over a pinewood base. The corners have various applied carved mouldings. Pulls are probably replaced ceramic ca.1930s and hardware looks to be from the same Moderne era. Cabinet ca. 1890. Possibly Czechoslovakian or Romanian.
