Attractive bleached flame mahogany Danish Biedermeier Pagoda Top tallboy commode dating around 1850. Commonly known as a "semainier", due to having seven drawers, presumably one for each day of the week ('semaine' in French.) All of the drawers are made of solid oak interiors with original locks (new hardware) and keys, the upper one with moulded front with a mother of pearl escutcheon. The frontal feet are hand carved bun feed and the rear feet are blocks.
